Where ancient craft meets neon future
Mira Chen is a ceramicist working at the intersection of traditional craft and digital aesthetics. Based in Neo-Tokyo, her pieces explore the dialogue between ancient techniques and futuristic visions.
With over 15 years of experience, Mira's work has been exhibited in galleries across Asia, Europe, and North America. Her signature style combines time-honored throwing methods with avant-garde glazing techniques that evoke the glow of neon lights and the depth of digital space.
Each piece is handcrafted in her studio, where she experiments with crystalline glazes, metallic oxides, and unconventional firing methods to achieve surfaces that seem to pulse with inner light.
"Clay is the original programmable matter. I'm just writing new code."
